On the 19th of March 2016, a week after the skill acquisition programme was held at NADI training centre for internally displaced women in Borno state, interview sessions were carried out as a feedback model to ascertain the participant’s current progress and to hear their views and comments about the skills that they acquired during the programme and their comprehensive plans on how they will sustain the business. The following are excerpts from the interview sessions;
PARTICIPANT: ZARA BUBA
Remarks/Comments: According to her guardian Abdulmalik, Zara started the business two days after the Skill acquisition programme. She was not presently available for her comments as she had gone on visitation to her father’s house.
PARTICIPANT: FANTA ABDULLAHI
Remarks/Comments: Fanta informed NADI that she wasn’t able to start the business because the funds she acquired were not sufficient. This was due to the fact that she had seven (7) orphans dependant on her and her own children had complained of school fees and she had to attend to those needs. She used the remaining money to purchase charcoal and she was able to at least start the cap-making business.
PARTICIPANT: TITI HAMMA ADAMA
Remarks/Comments: Titi had started the business successfully according to her guardian kawu Alh. Sale
PARTICIPANT: RASHIDA UMAR
Remarks/Comments: Rashida could not be contacted because the number provided was In-complete.
PARTICIPANT: HAUWA ABDULLAHI RISKA
Remarks/Comments: Hauwa said verbatim “I have no complaints, for the welfare I just say thank you for your assistance.
PARTICIPANT: AISHA UMAR
Remarks/Comments: Aisha has not been contacted yet due to the fact that her guardian’s phone was switch off at the point of call.
PARTICIPANT: HAUWA ADAMU
Remarks/Comments: Hauwa reported back that she had started the liquid soap business
PARTICIPANT: SA’ADATU UMARU
Remarks/Comments: Sa’adatu could not be reached as the calls made were not responded to
PARTICIPANT: ASMA’U ABBA
Remarks/Comments: Asmau could also not be reached at the point of call as the call failed to connect.
PARTICIPANT: FATIMA MOH’D
Remarks/Comments: Fatima reported that she had started the business successfully
PARTICIPANT: MARIYA TIJANI
Remarks/Comments: Mariya’s guardian Abdulwahab Hayatu reported back that she had started the business successfully.
PARTICIPANT: FANTA HASHIMU
Remarks/Comments: Fanta could not be reached as she had only provided NADI database with the name of her guardian (Hashimu Abdullahi) with no accompanying phone number.
PARTICIPANT: AISHA IBRAHIM GALWA
Remarks/Comments: Aisha’s Phone line could not be reached.
PARTICIPANT: BINTA UMAR
Remarks/Comments: Binta said she had started the business and she had no complaints so far. She extended her gratitude.
PARTICIPANT: FADIMATU IBRAHIM
Remarks/Comments: Fadimatu could not be reached because only the guardian’s name (Adamu) was provided with no accompanying Phone number or contact address.
PARTICIPANT: HAUWA IBRAHIM
Remarks/Comments: Hauwa could not be reached. She had left neither a contact number nor a guardian’s name. Only an address located in Gwoza LGA was provided
PARTICIPANT: BINTA AMADU
Remarks/Comments: Binta could not be reached at that particular time because she had not provided a contact number for her guardian (Amadu Bello) however she contacted NADI staff before the compilation of the report. She reported back that she was very happy with the business and she thanked NADI and its staff.
